Overview: This is where you will post your lesson plans. Please read the instructions below carefully to make sure it goes smoothly. Thanks for all your hard work!

Instructions:

Step 1: Please rename your file on your computer so that it matches the following format:
"Your full name - topic" (e.g. Usha James - Battles of WWI). If you have multiple files (e.g. with other resources), please save them all with that same format (e.g. Usha James - Battles of WWI - photographs; Usha James - Battles of WWI - letter", etc.) Please save them as .doc files if you have a newer version of Word so that everyone can open it. Alternatively, you could save them as a pdf if that's easier.

Step 2: In the top right hand corner of this page, you'll see a tab labelled "Edit". Click on this. The page will now open in editing mode. Scroll down the page and position your cursor in the place where you want your lesson plan to be inserted (i.e. make sure it's under the heading "Lesson Plans" below and try to position it in psuedo-chronological order - i.e. so the WWI lesson plans come first, then the 20s, then the 30s).

Step 3: At the top of the screen, you'll see a tool bar labelled "Editor". In the middle of the tool bar, you'll see a square with a picture of some sort in it (when you "hover" over it with your cursor it will say " images and files". Click on this.

Step 4: In the new window that opens, click on "Upload File". Select your lesson plan file from your computer. When it's finished uploading, you'll see it appear in the bottom of that little window. Continue to upload any other files you want to attach that are related to your lesson plan.

Step 5: Next, click on "Insert File". Click on the file(s) you just uploaded to insert them into the page. It will show you where the link will be inserted. You can move it around now if it's in the wrong place - i.e. add a line above or below or separate your files if they ended up being all squished together on the page.

Step 6 (Optional): You can type in a little intro/explanation before or after the files you've inserted if there's anything you want to explain to your classmates or alert them to.

Step 7: Finally, when you're happy with what you've done, click "Save" in the "Editor" tool bar at the top of the page. If you think you've made a mistake, just hit "Cancel" instead of "Save" and you can start all over again.

Congratulations! You did it!

Note: The great thing about Wikispaces is that it archives every change that's made to every page. So, (try not to do this) but if you delete someone else's stuff by mistake, we should be able to retrieve it from the archives. Don't panic. Just let me know and I'll help.

That's it - give it a try - let me know if you need help.
